Featuring Downtown Orlando and Lake Eola
We'll be taking a look at some of the nicest condos and high rises in the heart of the city, if you're looking for Urban city living this could be the right move for you.
I’ve been living in Downtown Orlando for the past 5 years it’s really hard to imagine living anywhere else. You’re stone throw away from the beautiful and eventful Lake Eola and close to all the restaurants and entertainment the city has to offer. If you’re outgoing there are some fantastic scenic places and parks to walk or run. If you have a dog then you’re both going to love living here, Orlando is a great dog friendly city with plenty of pet friendly bars, restaurants and parks.
Whether you’re into clubs, bars or restaurants Orlando has it all. The city is kind of split into a few different areas/ districts; you have Downtown Orlando with all the nightclubs and bars. East of the city (5-10 walk) you have Thornton Park.Thornton Park is a trendy, modern, laid back neighborhood with a few bars (Graffiti Junction, Dexters) and restaurants, definitely worth checking out. Not too far from there you have Eola Historic District to the north and Delaney Park to the South, both of these areas are beautiful and provide some quieter enjoyment of Downtown Living.
Downtown Orlando has a variety of buildings to choose from ranging in all shapes and sizes. All of the condos are located close to the major highways and provide easy access to all the surrounding entertainment, restaurants and the business.
Premium buildings such as The Vue have top of the range amenities that include roof top tennis courts, basketball courts and a huge private gym. Some of the other premium condos to purchase are Eola 101, Solaire, Sanctuary and Star Tower.
The Solaire is located in a plaza in the heart of the city surrounded by everything including the movie theater and restaurants. This makes it one of the most popular condos in the downtown area. The building has a great swimming pool, gym and guarded front desk. If you’re looking for true downtown living at a reasonable price this could be for you.
If you’re on a tighter budget it might be worth taking a look at The Grande, Waverly, Paramount, Park North, Uptown Place and The Metropolitan.
I moved to The Grande my first year here in Orlando and lived there for 2 and a half years, I really had no complaints and the location was fantastic.
